Overview The Ward Family Heart Center at Children’s Mercy Kansas City seeks a pediatric cardiologist based at our CMKC owned practice in Springfield, MO. The successful candidate will join an existing group of 38 cardiologists (33 in Kansas City, 2 in Springfield, MO, 2 in Wichita, KS, 1 in Topeka, KS), 4 cardiovascular surgeons, and over 30 advanced practice nurses. Experience and interest in outpatient cardiology and outreach is a must. Trainees in their final year are welcome to apply. Responsibilities Provide quality clinical care to patients. Provide education to physicians, students, and allied health professionals. Participate in scholarly activities that contribute to medical knowledge. Participate in administrative activities and promote fiscal responsibility. Qualifications MD degree and completed residency/fellowship in Pediatric Cardiology. Board‑eligible or board‑certified in Pediatric Cardiology. CMH hospital privileges required. State medical license required. BNDD and DEA certificates required. Experience in outpatient cardiology and outreach preferred.
