Position Overview The Department of Biochemistry at Brandeis University invites applications for a full‑time Assistant Professor position beginning July 1, 2026. Teaching Responsibilities The role includes teaching across the Biochemistry and Biology/HSSP programs, covering: Introductory biochemistry (BCHM 88) Advanced introductory biochemistry (BCHM 100) Project lab in protein biochemistry (BIOL 251) Elective course for Biochemistry majors (e.g., BIBC 126 Molecular Mechanisms of Disease) Elective course for non‑majors (e.g., CDSC 7 Culinary Chemistry) Qualifications Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in biochemistry or a related field, and demonstrate a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching and mentoring.
