This newly created leadership role is ideal for a nurse leader experienced in OR operations and passionate about driving patient-centered care and operational excellence. The position provides administrative and clinical oversight for Operating Room (OR), Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), Outpatient Surgery, Pre/Post-Operative Services, and Endoscopy. The Surgical Services Department supports a wide variety of surgical specialties such as general surgery, vascular, and orthopedics. Responsibilities Lead operations across perioperative areas ensuring clinical efficiency, safety, and compliance. Monitor KPIs including OR utilization, turnover time, and on-time surgical starts. Develop departmental budgets and ensure efficient resource use. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including anesthesia, surgeons, and nursing staff. Ensure compliance with CMS, Joint Commission, and state regulatory standards. Recruit, mentor, and manage staff; support ongoing professional development. Spearhead quality improvement and evidence-based practice initiatives.
