Psychiatrist – Outpatient with Limited Inpatient Coverage Location: Charleston, SCSchedule: Primarily Outpatient, with minimum 1 weekend/month of Inpatient CoverageEmployment Type: Full-time Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatrist to join our Charleston-based behavioral health team. This role primarily focuses on outpatient psychiatric care , with the flexibility and balance of limited inpatient coverage (minimum one weekend per month) . The ideal candidate is passionate about improving patient outcomes, values collaborative teamwork, and is comfortable working in both structured and autonomous environments. Responsibilities: Provide psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and treatment planning for outpatient clients. Participate in a shared call schedule, providing inpatient coverage one weekend per month. Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team including therapists, nurse practitioners, and case managers. Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation within the EMR system. Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulatory standards. Qualifications: MD or DO from an accredited medical school. Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry. Active or eligible South Carolina medical license. Experience in outpatient and/or inpatient psychiatric settings preferred. Excellent communication, clinical judgment, and teamwork skills.
