Responsibilities Execute brand strategy and tactics in the field; manage assigned territory and targeted accounts. Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives. Create pre-call plans using SMART objectives; conduct post-call evaluations to continuously improve performance. Handle objections and consistently drive logical, reasonable calls to action to close sales. Serve customer needs/expectations/challenges to build trusted relationships and win-win agreements. Develop and execute call plans to meet call metrics and optimize coverage and frequency. Build and share market intelligence (customer needs, competitors, market dynamics, accounts, disease/product/clinical expertise) with in-field and internal teams to optimize brand strategy. Differentiate AbbVie’s value proposition; identify, develop, and maintain disease state experts and speakers/advocates. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or business (preferred) or equivalent industry experience required; in lieu of degree: at least 5 years relevant experience (3+ years in pharmaceutical/health/science preferred) and a high school diploma/GED. Proven success in selling and strong presentation skills; adapts selling approach to customer behavior. Influences others; credible role model; collaborative with district colleagues and matrix team; leads by example. Documented leadership success with increased responsibility; develops sales strategies using findings. Preferred: sales success in relevant therapeutic areas; commercial pharmaceutical experience (e.g., physician/account-based selling, training, managed health care, marketing); English proficiency (verbal and written). Satisfy HCIR credentialing requirements to enter assigned facilities; may require background checks, drug screens, immunization proof, fingerprinting, and state/city licenses. Demonstrated scientific/therapeutic/product/competitive knowledge; strong business acumen; strategic and critical thinking; effective in a matrix environment. Ability to drive personal or company vehicle/equipment. Valid driver’s license; pass pre-employment drug screening and meet safe driving requirements.
