Location South San Francisco, CA Position Summary IDEAYA Biosciences seeks a South San Francisco based Clinical Scientist. Reporting to the Senior Medical Director, Late‑Stage Clinical Development, the Director will provide medical and scientific expertise to one or more clinical projects. The role requires onsite presence four days per week in the company headquarters. What You’ll Do With the medical monitor (MM), write clinical development concepts and plans for molecules at all stages of development. Draft protocol synopses, protocols and protocol amendments with the MM. Review informed consent forms and adjudicate site‑specific ICF requests. Partner with the MM and Clinical Operations on site selection, start‑up and communication activities. Write or update clinical sections of investigator brochures with the MM. Review and interpret clinical/safety sections of NDAs/MAAs. Serve as a member of the clinical sub‑team to review and interpret data listings, including safety data and serious adverse events. Assist the MM as an author of clinical study reports and associated publications. Create clinical study‑ or program‑related slide decks for internal and external use. Train colleagues, CRO and study site staff on the therapeutic area, molecule and protocols as appropriate. Organize and participate in opinion‑leader advisory boards with the MM. Contribute to therapeutic area/indication research and competitor analysis. Support Health Authority interactions, providing responses to inspection observations and internal audits. Requirements Bachelor’s degree and strong knowledge of clinical oncology gained through previous clinical development experience. Postgraduate qualification in clinical oncology (master’s degree), or MD, Nurse Practitioner, PharmD or PhD is welcomed. At least 2 years of industry experience in oncology with prior participation in a clinical development program (preferably all stages from start‑up to study report). Skilled in protocol design, interpretation and data cleaning. Experience in assessment of adverse events and safety of patients in therapeutic clinical trials. Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice. Excellent written and oral communication. Capacity to adapt to a fast‑paced and changing environment. Fluency in English. The expected salary range for this role is $227,000–280,000, with final offer dependent on experience, educational background and interview performance.
