Position Overview We are hiring for a Part‑Time Psychiatrist in North Carolina. The role focuses on providing psychiatric and medical assessment, treatment, and supervision to RHA Behavioral Health staff. Responsibilities Provide psychiatric and medical assessment, treatment, clinical supervision, education, and training to RHA Behavioral Health staff. Develop, implement, and supervise medication, psychiatric, and medical treatment policies and procedures. Serve as a key member of treatment teams, integrating psychiatric services into clients’ overall care plans. Collaborate with RHA staff and community health care professionals. Maintain professional judgment and provide services with limited supervision. Highlights Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system with hybrid functionality moving toward full EMR. Just‑In‑Time (JIT) scheduling supported by RHA support staff and clinical leadership. Access to nursing assistants at specified sites. Established protocols for communication with primary care providers. Requirements MD residency training program in Psychiatry completed. Board certified or board eligible in psychiatry and licensed to practice medicine in North Carolina. Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle insurance (condition of employment). CPR, first‑aid, NCI certification and other required training. Maintain proficiency in company‑sponsored training, certifications, and privileging if required. Pre‑Employment Screening Criminal background check (OIG exclusions, Child Abuse Registry, Offenders Against Individuals with Developmental Disabilities). Drug testing. Education verification and other credentialing as required. Proof of employment history or references if required. Possession of driver’s license and vehicle insurance if driving required.
