Pulmonary Physician AssistantBronx, New YorkPosition OverviewA large, well-established multispecialty group in the Bronx is seeking an experienced Pulmonary Physician Assistant to join its pulmonary medicine team. This is a permanent position with a collaborative practice model, supporting pulmonologists in the evaluation and management of patients with a wide range of respiratory conditions in outpatient and, when applicable, inpatient settings.Clinical ResponsibilitiesPerform comprehensive patient evaluations, including histories and physical examinations, for pulmonary conditions such as asthma, COPD, pulmonary fibrosis, and sleep-related breathing disordersOrder, interpret, and review diagnostic studies, including chest imaging, pulmonary function tests, arterial blood gases, and sleep studiesManage chronic respiratory diseases in collaboration with supervising pulmonologistsEducate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, inhaler technique, and lifestyle modificationsAssist with or perform pulmonary procedures, as credentialed, including thoracentesis, pleural catheter management, and bronchoscopy supportProvide inpatient consults, daily rounding, and discharge planning when applicablePrescribe medications and therapies within scope of practice and state licensureCoordinate care with physicians, APPs, nursing, and ancillary servicesParticipate in quality improvement initiatives and follow-up planningDocument all encounters accurately and efficiently in the EMRPractice Setting & ScheduleMultispecialty group practiceOutpatient clinic with potential inpatient responsibilitiesMonday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.Multiple practice locations throughout the BronxRequirementsBoard-certified or board-eligible Physician AssistantPost-training pulmonary experience requiredStrong clinical and diagnostic skills in pulmonary medicineProcedural experience preferred (based on training and credentialing)Bilingual Spanish is a plus, not requiredCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive salary: $115,000-$130,000 annuallyComprehensive benefits packageH-1B visa sponsorship available, if neededOrganization HighlightsLarge multispecialty group with offices throughout the five boroughsOver 140 physicians and 100+ advanced practice providersEstablished infrastructure and specialty supportEasily accessible via public transportationLifestylePractice in the Bronx with access to all that New York City has to offerDiverse patient population and urban clinical experience
