This role is responsible for the clinical, operational, and financial performance of the department, ensuring safe, high‑quality patient care and supporting organizational goals. What You’ll Do: Provide leadership and direction for the Med‑Surg/Telemetry unit Oversee staffing, quality, safety, service, and patient experience Support and mentor nursing leaders using Evidence‑Based Leadership practices Collaborate with physicians, staff, and the CNO to resolve issues and improve care Lead performance improvement initiatives and manage departmental budgets What your day will look like: Typically provides leadership to managers and/or frontline level professional staff Develops long‑term plans and strategies for area of defined responsibility aligned with established functional strategies, and works with subordinate managers to operationalize and execute the strategy Meets staffing productivity goals for each department on predetermined basis (HPPD) Communicates priorities and monitors progress, and provides direction and course corrections Establishes budgets and is accountable for managing to achieve expected outcomes Makes decisions guided by resource availability and functional objectives Has the knowledge to develop unit staff and ensure that the hemodynamic status of patients and interpretation of results are appropriate and within the nursing scope of practice Ensures that staff are competent in the nursing process and equipment functioning for the unit Requirements Registered Nurse (TX) Bachelors of Science in Nursing 3-5 years of Leadership Experience Benefits for this position are determined by the hiring agency and may include some or all of the following: Retirement Plan (pension or 401(k)) Life Insurance Paid Time Off (vacation, sick leave, holidays) Disability Coverage Employee Assistance Programs Professional Development Opportunities Note: Specific benefits will be confirmed by the hiring agency. #J-18808-Ljbffr
