We also provide rental and sales of traffic control equipment, including attenuator trucks, arrow boards, message boards, drums, cones, barricades, and signage.We are currently seeking reliable and safety-focused Flaggers / Traffic Control Technicians to support roadway and construction projects throughout Pennsylvania. This role is responsible for helping maintain safe traffic flow through active work zones while protecting construction crews, drivers, pedestrians, and the public.COMPENSATION:Starting rate: $19.50 per hour for the first 90 daysAfter 90 days, the rate increases to $21.25 per hourAdditional wage increases may be available based on experience, performance, and qualifications, up to $22.75 per hourWeekly payOvertime opportunitiesPaid training and certificationHigh-visibility PPE and radios providedOpportunity to join Union Local 57SCHEDULE:This is a full-time position. Candidates must be available Monday through Friday during daytime hours. Work hours may vary based on business and project needs.RESPONSIBILITIES:Control movement of vehicular traffic using signs, hand signals, and flagging devicesSet up and distribute traffic control signs and markers in designated areasDirect drivers through detours and construction zonesWarn construction crews of potential traffic hazardsCommunicate with crews and supervisors to help maintain a safe work zoneMonitor traffic flow and remain alert to changing jobsite conditionsLoad, unload, and carry traffic control equipment as neededDrive company vehicles as neededFollow company safety procedures, jobsite rules, and MUTCD traffic control standardsPerform other duties as assignedREQUIREMENTS:Valid PA driver's licenseReliable personal vehicleMust be 18 years of age or olderAbility to pass a drug testComfortable standing 8-12 hours in all weather conditionsAbility to lift up to 50 lbs.Must be available Monday through Friday during daytime hoursAbility to read, understand, and communicate in English for safety-related instructions and jobsite communicationMust be dependable, alert, and able to work safely in active roadway environmentsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Prior traffic control or flagging experience preferred but not requiredConstruction, roadway, utility, or outdoor labor experience preferredTraffic control certification preferred but not requiredWORK ENVIRONMENT:Work is regularly performed outdoors in various weather conditions, including rain, heat, cold, wet or humid conditions, and active roadway environments. This role may involve exposure to moving vehicles, moving mechanical parts, vibration, hazardous tools, and traffic control equipment.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, talk, hear, use hands, reach, and remain alert to traffic and jobsite conditions. The employee may be required to stand for extended periods and must be able to lift and move up to 50 lbs. as needed.TRAVEL:No overnight travel is anticipated for this position.
