Pediatric Neurology Physician - San Antonio, TX Division: CHRISTUS Children's Hospital – San Antonio Location: San Antonio, TX Salary Range: N/A (FLSA Status: Exempt) Department Summary CHRISTUS Children’s is a world‑class 240‑bed freestanding children’s hospital in San Antonio serving as a focal point for pediatric services throughout the community. In 2013, CHRISTUS Health finalized an agreement partnering with Baylor College of Medicine (BCM) to recruit, employ and oversee physicians and advanced practice providers at CHRISTUS Children’s. Baylor College of Medicine (bcm.edu) is recognized as one of the nation’s premier academic health science centers known for excellence in education, research, healthcare and community service. BCM is currently associated with multiple educational, healthcare, and research affiliates. Role Summary The Department of Pediatrics seeks an outstanding pediatric neurology physician to join our easy‑going team at CHRISTUS Children’s Hospital in San Antonio. The ideal candidate will be a team player with excellent organizational and leadership qualities, will participate in educational and research programs, and help represent our division in the community and nationally. We have established a multidisciplinary evaluation and treatment program for children with epilepsy, a multidisciplinary autism program, and an international neuromuscular program. We especially seek special interests in headache, cerebral palsy and stroke but are open to any strong candidate with any interest. The ideal candidate will assist with growing our pediatric neurology division. The division currently consists of seven board‑certified pediatric neurologists (two in epileptology; three in neurodevelopmental) and four full‑time APPs who are primarily on inpatient service support. The division has active programs in epilepsy (6‑bed Epilepsy Monitoring Unit), neurodevelopmental, ketogenic diet, neuromuscular disorders and a Pediatric Rehab/PM&R inpatient unit. Job Duties Primary responsibilities include outpatient clinics, shared inpatient rotations with call, trainee education and clinical research. The Voelcker Clinical Research Center provides support for faculty involved with research.
