Case Mix: Work the full spectrum of our caseload which includes major vascular, orthopedics, spine, neuro, general surgery, surgical oncology, gynecology, ENT, urology, and endoscopy. No obstetrics, pediatrics, or trauma. Heart and Thoracic Cases (not required): 1200 cardiac procedures per year includes: Complex and routine cardiac; Robotic mitral valve surgery (the world’s busiest and most experienced center); Complex aortic reconstruction; Complex valves, CABG (on and off pump), Valve-CABG, Valve repair, LVAD's; Structural heart procedures (MitraClip, TAVR, Watchman, etc.) and full range of electrophysiology procedures (not included in above cardiac case total; 3 rooms daily). ICU Care: PSA provides physician intensivist coverage for the 24-bed ESJH cardiovascular surgery ICU.
