The Director of Nursing will consult with and advise the Hospital Administrator on activities related to the operations of the Skilled Nursing Facility. The Director of Nursing recommends changes in policy, programs, and physical resources required to achieve the SNF’s objectives; provides leadership, direction and administers the day-to‑day operations of the Skilled Nursing Facilities to ensure safe, quality patient care. The Director of Nursing ensures that all policies and procedures, are followed in compliance with State and Federal regulations. Duties/Responsibilities Creates an environment and culture that enables delivery of high quality patient care Coordinates with physicians to assure the availability and continual management of necessary equipment, supplies, and instrumentation. Develops unit staffing patterns and time scheduling practices which facilitate the delivery of consistent and efficient nursing care and in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Unit Agreement. Develops and maintains policies and procedures to meet regulatory requirements and standards described above. Facilitates a collaborative relationship with other departments and clinics to optimize patient flow and experience throughout all levels in the organization Participates in hospital wide task groups and meetings as needed Participates in quality improvement processes to improve workflow, practice, efficiency, and systems within the Skilled Nursing Facility Performs or delegates monthly auditing processes as needed to support quality improvement processes Facilitates ongoing competency assessment and annual unit based competency training that is specific to skills needed in the department Collaborates with vendors, following hospital policy to provide education for staff and to assist in implementation of products and services within the department Facilitates the support and continuation of unit based committees to accomplish projects and performance improvement within the unit Facilitates onboarding and training of new employees Completion of employee performance evaluations, coaching, and mentoring of staff as needed Required Skills/Abilities Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing; additional languages are desirable Knowledgeable regarding quality improvement and standards of care within the practice area Able to effectively delegate tasks Job Type: Full‑time, Exempt Pay: $210,000 to $240,000/annually 401(k) 401(k) matching Employee assistance program Family leave Health insurance Health savings account Life insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Medical Specialty: Critical & Intensive Care Medical‑Surgical Schedule: 8 hour shift Day shift Monday to Friday Ability to Commute: Ability to Relocate: Hollister, CA 95023: Relocate before starting work (Required) All job offers are contingent upon the successful completion of a background check, physical exam, drug test, and verification of education qualifications and credentials.
