Vice President, Income Tax (Head of Tax) Compensation: $230,000 – $290,000 Base + 15% Bonus Location: 4 days/week onsite in NYC The Opportunity Join a high-growth organization as the inaugural Vice President of Income Tax. This is a high-visibility, newly created leadership seat designed for a strategic architect who thrives on building from the ground up. You will own the end-to-end income tax function, transitioning critical responsibilities from external providers to a sophisticated in-house model. Operating at the strategic intersection of Accounting, FP&A, Treasury, and Legal, you will be the definitive voice for tax strategy, global expansion, and M&A. This is a hands-on leadership role that requires an elite technical expert who is equally comfortable in the boardroom and the workpapers. The Impact You’ll Make Function Architecture & Provision Leadership Build the Blueprint: Design and lead all aspects of the income tax function, including tax provision, compliance, reporting, and long-term strategic planning. ASC 740 Mastery: Own the quarterly and annual income tax provisions; manage disclosures and close activities with 100% accuracy and GAAP compliance. Process Transformation: Identify and implement systems to enhance efficiency, reduce close timelines, and optimize the global cash tax position. Global Strategy & Compliance International Oversight: Lead transfer pricing strategies and ensure robust documentation across multiple global jurisdictions. Regulatory Sentinel: Monitor evolving global regulations (e.g., Pillar II / Global Minimum Tax) and assess their impact on the enterprise. Advisory Partnership: Manage and optimize co-sourced relationships with external advisors and Big 4 auditors to ensure seamless execution. Strategic Executive Partnership M&A & Restructuring: Provide mission-critical tax guidance on business initiatives, legal entity structuring, and intercompany transactions. Board-Level Presence: Prepare and present tax-related materials directly to senior leadership and the Audit Committee. The Ideal Profile Required Professional Experience The Foundation: CPA is required with 15–20+ years of progressive tax experience. A blend of Big 4 public accounting and corporate leadership is strongly preferred. Leadership Tenure: Proven track record as a Head of Tax, VP, or Director with end-to-end ownership of an income tax function. Technical Depth: Deep expertise in ASC 740, domestic/international tax compliance, and transfer pricing. The "Doer" Mindset: You must be a hands‑on leader who enjoys direct execution and "owning the file" rather than purely delegating to a team. #J-18808-Ljbffr
