General Internal Medicine Physician West Virginia University School of Medicine and the Department of Medicine seek a General Internal Medicine physician qualified for appointment at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor rank. The successful candidate will practice in Morgantown, WV. Scope of Practice This position focuses primarily on academic inpatient internal medicine with a small outpatient component. The physician will collaborate with a team of over 25 internists; all subspecialties are available for consultation. Opportunities also exist in clinical research and a rapidly expanding global health residency track. Duties Provide excellent patient care. Actively involved in teaching medical students and residents. For Associate Professor or Professor rank, maintain an outstanding, extramurally supported research program. Qualifications MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent. Eligible to obtain an unrestricted state medical license. Completed an accredited internal medicine residency program at the time of appointment. For Associate Professor or Professor rank, demonstrated track record of leadership, excellent communication skills, and publications in high-impact journals.
