Position Title: Assistant Professor – Internal Medicine (Pulmonary/Critical Care/Sleep Medicine). Job Summary The Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Pulmonary Critical Care and Sleep Medicine is recruiting an Assistant Professor with expertise in respiratory medicine and acute/chronic lung injury. Responsibilities Conduct respiratory basic/translational research on acute/chronic lung injury as Principal or Co‑Investigator. Train and educate students, residents, fellows, and faculty within a research setting. Obtain extramural and internal grant funding to support laboratory and research team. Mentor and evaluate students, fellows, and faculty, and participate in weekly lectures and discussion groups. Represent the university at national and international conferences through lectures, poster presentations, and peer‑reviewed publications. Education and Experience Required: PhD, MD or equivalent. Required: Minimum 3 years of experience in basic/translational respiratory research. Preferred: Minimum 5 years of experience in basic/translational respiratory research, demonstrated extramural grant funding, and laboratory leadership.
