Thoracic Recovery Surgeon Date: May 20, 2026 Location: Miami, FL, US Company: Paragonix Technologies, Inc. Remote Work: Field Job Summary This position provides surgical recovery support to Paragonix’s Transplant Services Procurement department. Surgeons will travel to donor operating rooms to perform expert surgical removal of organs, use advanced techniques to ensure optimal organ recovery, and communicate pertinent information directly to the implanting surgeon to facilitate successful transplantation. They will also participate in delivery of recovered organs to the implanting center. Essential Functions Perform surgical recovery of donor organs. Participate in process improvement and quality initiatives for the department. Assist in delivery of donor organs to the implanting transplant center. Provide excellent customer service and communication skills with internal and external staff, including relaying clear, concise, and pertinent clinical information. Be reachable within 15 minutes by telephone during the 24‑hour call shift. Collaboration to train and evaluate new surgeons. Perform end‑of‑case paperwork as directed by OPTN policy and Paragonix quality initiatives. Demonstrate expert knowledge of Paragonix devices for Thoracic and Abdominal specialties. Maintain necessary training and credentials for hospital customers, Paragonix, and OPTN. Minimum Qualifications Completion of an appropriate medical school and transplant residency. Current accreditation in ACIN or ability to obtain accreditation in ACIN. Preferred Qualifications Board Certification in Specialty.
