The Division of Cardiology in the Department of Pediatrics at Stanford University is recruiting Pediatric Hospitalists to join our hospitalist team in the acute care cardiac unit at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital (LPCH). The successful recruit will be appointed as Clinical Instructor or Clinical Assistant Professor in the Clinician Educator Line. The major criterion for appointment as Clinician Educators is excellence in the overall mix of clinical care, teaching, administrative and/or scholarship appropriate to the programmatic need the individual is expected to fulfill. Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital is a quaternary referral center with a fully staffed cardiac intensive care unit and a leading pediatric heart transplant center. Our hospital is well-resourced with 24‑7 vascular access teams, child life, OT/PT, all pediatric subspecialists, and in‑house attendings. Responsibilities Provide clinical care to children and adolescents with cardiac issues, including patients awaiting heart transplants, with heart failure, ventricular assist devices, postoperative patients, and arrhythmia patients. Work as an integral part of a multidisciplinary team of attendings, APPs, fellows, residents, medical students, nutritionists, case managers, and pharmacists. Serve patients day and night, offering autonomy during night shifts while maintaining continuity of care with daytime providers and cardiology fellows. Participate in resident teaching, quality improvement work, and other long‑term professional development projects. Lead in medical education and promote quality improvement and value‑based care within the department. Qualifications MD or DO who is Board Eligible/Certified in Pediatrics. Eligibility to receive a medical license in the state of California. Demonstrated experience in pediatric hospital medicine and academic teaching. Team‑oriented and self‑motivated, with a commitment to faculty development in quality improvement, value‑based care, medical education, and research. Benefits Base pay range reflects faculty rank and experience: Clinical Instructor: $201,000 – $209,000 Clinical Assistant Professor: $224,000 – $246,000 Additional compensation may be available through the School of Medicine’s faculty compensation program and incentive programs.
