Join our dedicated team as a Paramedic, where you will deliver exceptional pre-hospital care to patients in need. This is a rewarding position that requires a commitment to providing high-quality medical service and support. Starting pay is $32.24 per hour and increases based on experience! We are offering a $5K Sign-On Bonus for Full-Time hires and a $2.5K Sign-On Bonus for Part-Time hires (paid over 6 months)! Additionally, earn a Referral Bonus of $5k for referring a Full-Time Paramedic or $2.5k for a Part-Time Paramedic (terms and conditions apply). Responsibilities include: Assessing each call situation to determine the best course of action using established Paramedic protocols. Providing advanced medical care using equipment such as defibrillators, EKG monitors, oxygen and suction devices, and intravenous fluids. Communicating effectively with patients and their families to provide reassurance and information about care. Leading the Paramedic team and managing scene and unit operations as necessary. Driving the ambulance on emergency response calls. Collaborating professionally with all healthcare and public safety personnel, including fellow Paramedics. Additional Responsibilities: Participating in community programs to enhance our organization’s image and bolster community relations. Minimum Required Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent (GED). New York State Paramedic License. Valid State Driver's License. Nassau and Suffolk REMAC credentials. Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS. Driving record must meet company policy. Ability to pass a Physical Agility Test. Previous experience in healthcare is preferred. Why Choose AMR?
