Position Summary NeighborHealth is seeking an experienced Medical Director to oversee the administrative and clinical development of primary care staff in the PACE program. The role supervises PACE clinical care, collaborates with senior leadership, and provides direct primary patient care for PACE participants. Responsibilities Develop and update departmental clinical policies and procedures. Oversee Clinical Quality Management with the PACE Quality Director and other directors. Communicate operating policies and procedures to all subordinates continuously. Provide strong leadership and resolve staff issues, problems, and concerns promptly. Assist the department in annual performance improvement projects. Recruit primary care physicians and nurse practitioners. Collaborate with the IT department for data reporting and validate PACE service reports. Assist in the clinical portion of grant writing and reporting. Work closely with coding and billing departments to ensure proper coding and fund allocation. Provide approximately 12 weekly clinical hours (including call rotation) and 25 administrative hours in PACE. Leadership Responsibilities Attend mandatory meetings: NeighborHealth Clinical Leaders (weekly), Medical Standards Committee (monthly), Manager’s meeting (monthly), Senior Leadership (weekly), Primary Care staff (weekly), and other relevant committees. Participate in risk adjustment analysis, utilization management, and quality improvement activities. What you’ll bring MD with board certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine. Minimum 5 years of experience in Geriatrics. Current MD licensure in Massachusetts, BLS certification, and professional licensure and clinical privileges at NeighborHealth and Boston Medical Center. Knowledge of geriatric care and ability to use data to evaluate outcomes. Experience with electronic medical records, performance dashboards, databases, and analysis tools. Leadership experience of at least 5 years and exceptional problem‑solving and conflict‑resolution skills. Strong interpersonal, communication, teaching skills, and ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters with discretion. Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment. Work Environment & Physical Requirements Position operates in a professional office and clinic environment. Requires sitting, standing, walking, and using hands to operate a computer and other office equipment. Occasional lifting of items up to 20 pounds. Must maintain visual acuity, hearing, and manual dexterity. Follow all safety policies and confidentiality procedures. Salary $235,000 to $350,000 based on years of experience.
