Overview Per Diem Pediatric Hospitalists Opportunities Available in SouthEast Ohio - Apply Today! Responsibilities Pediatrix Medical group is seeking board-certified Pediatricians to join our team at OhioHealth Obleness Hospital in Athens, OH on a per diem basis to provide coverage of the Newborn Nursery. Newborn nursery care with NICU support from Pediatrix Neonatologists – No Pediatric floor coverage 24 hour shift of rounding plus offsite call Pediatric Hospitalists will perform circumcisions Pediatric Consultations: Provide expert pediatric consultations to the emergency department, offering timely assessments, recommendations and treatment plans for pediatric patients. Collaborative Teamwork: Work closely with a team of pediatric hospitalists and neonatologists to provide coordinated and comprehensive care to patients, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment. Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI): Participate in CQI initiatives and clinical research projects, contributing to the enhancement of patient care outcomes and best practices. Knowledge Exchange: Exchange ideas and best practices with a large network of Pediatrix providers, including over 400 NICUs and several thousand providers. Qualifications Board Certified in Pediatrics required Minimum of 1 year post-residency experience required Active OH License or IMLC license preferred Recent clinical experience required (within the last 12 months) Benefits and Compensation Pediatrix covers travel expenses (round trip flight/rental car or mileage and lodging) for those who reside outside a commutable distance from the practice. Malpractice insurance is covered for this W-2 per diem position. Per diem benefits: Employee Assistance PTO: Per diem team members are not eligible for PTO.
