Director, Surgical Services City of Hope is the largest cancer research and treatment organization in the United States and seeks a Director of Surgical Services to oversee perioperative operations and ensure quality patient care. Responsibilities Oversee daily operations of Surgical Services, aligning with organizational strategic goals while maintaining fiscal responsibility. Serve as a role model for nursing excellence and provide leadership to maintain high standards of patient care and safety. Manage, mentor, and support clinical and non‑clinical staff, fostering professional growth and performance excellence. Analyze surgical supplies and equipment using evidence‑based methods to ensure optimal utilization and functionality. Maintain cleanliness, sterility, and proper functioning of operating rooms and equipment. Serve as liaison to imaging and radiation oncology, fostering collaboration across departments. Partner with nursing leadership to exceed quality and patient care goals and implement policies to ensure excellent outcomes. Participate in accreditation preparation and ensure compliance with all standards and federal/state regulations; seek and maintain accreditation certifications. Direct resource utilization to maximize patient care delivery and productivity, including staffing schedule planning. Promote a safe work environment by integrating risk‑management principles into daily operations. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree required (Master’s preferred); BSN preferred. Active Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in Georgia. Current BLS and ACLS certification. Leadership experience in a Surgical‑Oncology department. Minimum five to eight years of supervisory/management experience. Equivalent related experience will be considered. Benefits Eligibility for an annual incentive bonus.
