We are looking for an experienced Trailer Builder / Mechanic who can build, install, troubleshoot, and service Various trailer systems including movable decks, winch systems, lift systems, and custom transport components. This is a hands-on fabrication and mechanical position for someone who understands hydraulics, trailer systems, wiring, fabrication, and DOT-compliant trailer construction. What You ll Do Build and assemble custom car trailers Install and service: o Hydraulic pumps o Cylinders o Hoses and valves o Winch systems o Sliding and movable decks o Lift systems o Electrical and control systems Fabricate and modify trailer components Perform trailer wiring and lighting installation Diagnose and repair hydraulic and electrical issues Read blueprints, schematics, and hydraulic diagrams Ensure trailers meet DOT and FMCSA safety standards Perform trailer repairs, upgrades, and preventative maintenance Work closely with the fabrication and production team to complete custom trailer builds What We re Looking For Experience with hydraulics a plus Trailer building or trailer mechanic experience preferred Mechanical, fabrication, and troubleshooting skills Understanding of DOT trailer regulations and compliance Experience with: o Hydraulic systems o Winches o Trailer wiring o Air brake systems o Welding and fabrication Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship CDL is a plus but not required Ideal Background Experience working on: Enclosed car haulers Rollbacks Heavy equipment trailers Hydraulic lift systems Custom fabrication projects Mobile hydraulic equipment Fleet trailers and transport systems Why Join Trailer Tech One?
