Our client is hiring a Neurologist in the Alexandria and Richmond, VA area. Schedule/Shift : Approx. 20 hours/week; 2-3 days per week; Monday through Friday; no weekends; no call Salary : $200,000+ Start Date : ASAP Work Setting : Clinic Overview The Neurologist will evaluate and treat patients with mild to moderate traumatic brain injury, chronic headaches, and post-concussion symptoms. This role focuses on non-surgical care and does not involve complex head trauma cases. The provider will rotate between clinic locations within the region and support patients recovering from occupational or motor vehicle injuries. Key Responsibilities Treat mild to moderate closed head injuries and post-traumatic headaches Oversee patient diagnosis and treatment for occupational or motor vehicle injuries Prepare patients for return to work after illness or injury Recommend tests and conduct diagnostic testing to determine the extent of injury and appropriate treatment Work with in-house computerized neurocognitive testing, including ImPACT testing, as well as in-house vestibular, cognitive, and aquatic therapy services Maintain timely and accurate documentation and reports Provide testimony on behalf of some treated patients, as needed Support exceptional patient care in alignment with organizational goals Perform other duties as assigned Required Qualifications MD/DO from an accredited educational institution Board Certified in Neurology Knowledge of the information and techniques needed to diagnose and treat human injuries, diseases, and deformities, including symptoms, treatment alternatives, drug properties and interactions, and preventive health-care measures Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services, including customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction Ability to perform the physical requirements of the role, including sitting, standing, walking, reaching above shoulder length, bending at the waist, kneeling, crawling, climbing stairs, climbing ladders, working with arms extended at shoulder length, and lifting up to 20 lbs.
