Dartmouth Health’s Department of Orthopaedics at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH is seeking to hire a Board Eligible/Certified joint arthroplasty (hips/knees) surgeon . You will perform primary and revision joint surgeries as an integral part of a busy, team‑based, outcomes‑focused arthroplasty service at both the academic medical center and affiliated hospitals, utilizing standardized care pathways. You will bring experience in primary and revision joint arthroplasty and have completed fellowship training in adult reconstruction. Affiliated hospitals include our system members within the Upper Valley of New Hampshire and Vermont. You will grow a high‑volume arthroplasty practice with an emphasis on revision surgery and acute arthroplasty cases while actively teaching residents and a fellow. You are encouraged to leverage an advanced degree in healthcare policy or outcomes research, if applicable. It is expected that your clinical practice would have a focus on clinical research aimed at advancing the clinical mission of the department and Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth. With this, you will also hold a faculty appointment at the Geisel School of Medicine and will fully participate in the research, education, and clinical programs of the Joint Arthroplasty Division and the Department. Responsibilities Perform primary and revision joint surgeries for hips and knees. Utilize standardized care pathways as part of a team‑based, outcomes‑focused arthroplasty service. Grow a high‑volume arthroplasty practice with emphasis on revision and acute cases. Teach residents and a fellow in joint arthroplasty procedures. Engage in clinical research focused on advancing the department’s mission and the Geisel School of Medicine. Required Licensure/Certifications MD or DO from an accredited medical school. Completion of accredited Orthopaedic residency. Fellowship training in Adult Reconstruction / Arthroplasty. Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopaedics. Eligible for NH medical licensure.
