Position Overview The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center seeks an academic nephrology physician to join the Division of Nephrology. The academic rank and track are commensurate with the academic record and experience. We are currently seeking a General Nephrologist to join our elite team of physicians and support the growing clinical, transplant, and research programs. The Division provides comprehensive care for a large CKD population, transplant patients, and an extensive consultative nephrology practice. Additionally, the Division is engaged in basic science and translational/clinical research and is responsible for teaching medical students, house officers, and fellows. Various academic/career paths are available that can be tailored to a candidate’s areas of interest. Faculty titles may be at the Assistant or Associate Professor Level based on qualifications. Requirements Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine/Nephrology Nephrology Fellowship trained Faculty Profiles Clinical faculty (regardless of rank): Titles include assistant professor‑clinical, associate professor‑clinical and professor‑clinical. They have earned an MD, DO, PhD or other terminal degree. Clinical faculty deliver exemplary clinical care and may include teaching and/or research. Tenure‑Track faculty: Titles include assistant professor, associate professor, or professor. They are eligible for tenure or have obtained tenure and have a doctorate degree. Their primary career focus centers on research, service, and teaching. Tenure‑track faculty with MD, DO or MD/PhD may also be involved in clinical care. Research faculty: Titles include research assistant professor, research associate professor, or research professor. They have earned a PhD or other terminal degree.
