Position Summary The Director of Nursing is responsible for planning, organizing, developing, and directing the overall operations of the Nursing Services department in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company policies and standards. The DON ensures the delivery of high-quality care while promoting a culture of accountability, teamwork, and compassion. Essential Responsibilities Clinical & Operational Leadership Oversee all Nursing Services operations to ensure quality resident care Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations Develop, implement, and interpret nursing department policies and procedures Monitor clinical outcomes and implement performance improvement initiatives Financial & Administrative Oversight Participate in fiscal operations including budgeting and expenditure authorization Assist with planning and financial coordination related to nursing services Utilize data analysis to support planning and risk management Team Leadership & Development Recruit, hire, train, evaluate, and supervise nursing staff Provide mentorship and leadership to RNs, LPNs, and CNAs Coordinate communication between medical staff and department leaders Foster teamwork and a positive work environment Qualifications Registered Nurse (RN) with current Illinois licensureTwo to four years of related leadership experience (skilled nursing preferred)CPR certification (upon hire or obtained during orientation)Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skillsKnowledge of long-term care regulations and quality measures Schedule 8-hour shifts, Monday–Friday On-call rotation as required Benefits 3% 401(k) Matching Health, Dental, Vision & Disability Insurance Vacation, Sick & Holiday Pay Additional bonuses available — inquire for details Why Join Allure of Mendota?
