Position Type: Independent Practice Opportunity (Physician‑owned practice with administrative support from MedCBO). Overview This is a physician‑owned practice opportunity. Physicians maintain full clinical authority and ownership of their practice entity while MedCBO provides non‑clinical business, operational, and administrative support. Physician Responsibilities Provide patient care within the specialty scope of nephrology. Develop professional relationships within the medical community. Coordinate payer credentialing and facility privileging as needed. Determine clinical services offered and set patient‑care policies. Manage clinical quality and patient experience. Administrative Support Provided by MedCBO Practice formation coordination. Billing and collections management. Payer contract negotiation. Financial infrastructure, reporting, and practice financial management. Operational workflows, staffing systems, and human‑resources administration. Technology platform implementation, including EHR, telehealth, and clinical workflow systems. Requirements MD or DO with an unrestricted license in good standing in the intended state of practice. Board Certified or Board Eligible in nephrology or a specialty appropriate to the services offered. Eligible for hospital and/or facility privileges where applicable. Ability to obtain professional‑liability coverage at standard market rates. No current limitations, exclusions, or disciplinary restrictions that would prevent independent practice. Interest in the independent practice ownership model. Preferred Desire for practice ownership. Community‑based care interest. Leadership or program development interest. Location Multiple U.S. markets available (urban, suburban, and rural). Relocation and market selection are physician‑directed, subject to licensure.
