Team Leadership Brad Gillon, Chief Anesthesiologist Responsibilities Assist in directing and coordinating activities in the Anesthesia Department. Medical management of patients rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery. Pre‑anesthesia assessment. Obtain and/or verify patient consent. Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient. Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia. Monitoring the patient's physiological condition. Performance of clinical interventions as needed. Requirements M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited college of medicine. ECFMC and FLEX certification. Completion of an approved residency in anesthesia. Current medical license.
