The physician faculty will supervise medical students assigned to the Orthopaedic Surgical Service, as well as supervise and educate residents in the care of patients with Orthopaedic-related diagnoses. The position will also be responsible for establishing protocols and critically evaluating outcomes as related to Orthopaedic Spine patients, and will serve on applicable University and College of Medicine committees as assigned. The preferred candidate will have a demonstrated ability in clinical teaching, as well as the ability to share responsibility for administration of the spine program. Rank will be determined based on qualifications and experience. Applications will be viewed immediately, and the position will be open until filled. Responsibilities Supervise medical students and residents on the Orthopaedic Spine Service. Provide direct patient care within the Orthopaedic Spine Service. Develop and implement protocols for patient care and outcome evaluation. Participate in university and medical college committees as assigned. Required Qualifications Medical Doctor (MD) degree or equivalent. Completion of residency and fellowship in Orthopaedic Spine Surgery. Eligibility for medical licensure in Kentucky. Board-certified or board-eligible in Orthopaedic Surgery. Demonstrated clinical teaching ability. Preferred Qualifications Experience sharing responsibility for administration of a spine program.
