Area Water Treatment Business Class Leader We have an exciting opportunity to lead the growth, direction, and quality of the Arizona / New Mexico Area’s Water Treatment Business Class. This key leadership role functions in partnership with top water professionals. The Area Business Class Leader is a professional well versed in all aspects of Business Class services for water treatment projects and manages a group of business class professionals. The duties include planning, directing, and overseeing all aspects of large‑scale multi‑discipline projects with high technical complexity; building and maintaining client relationships; participating in project development and contract document preparation; mentoring mid‑ and junior‑level staff; and coordinating with HDR’s other regional and national business class technical leads and advisors. Primary Responsibilities Develop technical leadership and best practices within the Business Class, integrating national expertise and industry best practices into local project delivery. Promote program growth and development by setting BC-specific goals, identifying new client or project opportunities, and raising HDR’s visibility at conferences and workshops. Partner with market sector leaders, marketing, and operations management on strategic development and tactical implementation of area‑wide business goals. Lead a team of BC professionals, manage workload, facilitate communication, recruitment, and workshare across Arizona and New Mexico, and coordinate technical delivery of project goals. Manage key projects and/or programs as project/program manager or principal, serving in a senior technical role, advising project teams and mentoring members. Preferred Qualifications Active engagement in professional or industry associations to enhance technical expertise and brand. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a professional, architectural, engineering or closely related field. 10 years of experience. Commitment to quality, improvement, and corporate values. Maintain a professional or engineering registration and related technical experience. Experience in developing and managing diverse teams. Collaborative experience with other area business class leaders, operations managers, technical directors, and marketing managers on business class efforts.
