Duties & Responsibilities The Department of Chemistry invites applications for a non‑tenure track position (renewable) at the Assistant Professor level in Organic Chemistry and/or Biochemistry to begin in August 2026. The successful applicant will teach undergraduate organic chemistry/biochemistry, participate in curriculum development focused on student‑centered learning, and utilize VCU's new STEM building to provide collaborative learning environments. The role includes instruction, assessment, and advising and opportunities for engagement in student‑centered teaching and curriculum design. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications : Ph.D. in Chemistry, experience teaching at the undergraduate level, commitment to working with students from diverse backgrounds, and a supportive inclusive learning environment. Preferred Qualifications : In-depth knowledge of pedagogical best practices and ongoing commitment to continued professional development in teaching excellence.
