Equine Specialist Veterinarians Humphrey, Giacopuzzi Equine Hospital Somis, California Located in beautiful, temperate Ventura County, California, just minutes from the beach, Humphrey, Giacopuzzi Equine Hospital is seeking two dedicated and passionate boarded specialists or residency-trained individuals to join our growing equine specialty referral hospital. We are looking for veterinarians committed to providing high-quality care and eager to join a collaborative, supportive, and progressive team serving the equine community. About the Hospital Humphrey, Giacopuzzi Equine Hospital is a well-established equine specialty and referral hospital that provides emergency, outpatient, and surgical services with a high standard of medical care. We are a tight-knit team focused on clinical excellence, collaboration, and compassionate service to both patients and clients. Our current veterinary team includes One board-certified internal medicine specialist One reproduction-focused veterinarian One veterinarian focused on lameness, soft tissue, and surgery. We are seeking two additional specialists to support and diversify our growing caseload while sharing in the on-call rotation. We are seeking candidates who are Diplomates or residency-trained in ACVIM, ACVS, or ACVECC Interested in helping support and expand our internal medicine, surgery, and emergency caseload Excited to work in a collaborative hospital environment Motivated to contribute to a practice that values both excellence in medicine and work-life balance Board-eligible candidates are encouraged to apply, and study time is negotiable. Position Details These positions are flexible and may be structured as either temporary or permanent, depending on the candidate and the practice's needs. Our caseload is primarily in-hospital, with some ambulatory days, and includes the full spectrum of equine patients, from beloved backyard horses to FEI-level sport horses.
