Our Beeghly campus ED collaborates with the Akron campus which is a designated level 1 trauma center. Akron Children's Hospital is the only pediatric hospital in northeast Ohio that has its own helicopter and pediatric transport team. This position is a 501(c)(3) site which qualifies for Public Service Loan Forgiveness through the Federal government. The ED sees more than 38,000 visits annually and operates within a modern, 23-treatment room facility. The Beeghly campus ED collaborates with the Akron campus (level 1 trauma center) and Akron Children's Hospital maintains a dedicated pediatric transport team. Qualifications Requirements include MD or DO degree, board eligibility/certification in Pediatric Emergency Medicine, ACLS, ATLS, PALS, and the ability to obtain an active medical license in the state of Ohio.
