Job Summary / Purpose Responsible for ensuring that the location complies with industry and regulatory specifications, TheKey standards, regulations, and laws. Serves as the Director of Nursing for state licensed locations, creating and enforcing compliance plans and performing regulatory risk management. This role involves monitoring, evaluating, and enhancing compliance processes to uphold ethical standards, legal requirements, and company policies. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Ensure quality of resident care and develop, direct the implementation, and ensure compliance of nursing practice standards that promote optimal health care delivery. Stay abreast of local, state, and federal regulations pertaining to home‑care services and ensure compliance at the individual office level. Review documentation, processes, and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Develop and implement regulatory compliance procedures across the region. Identify potential compliance risks and develop strategies to mitigate them. Provide guidance to staff on risk management practices. Act as liaison between the individual office and corporate compliance and human‑resource teams. Foster open communication channels to address compliance concerns and provide guidance to staff. Oversee and directly supervise all RNs, CCMs & HHA’s, CNAs on a regular basis in compliance with state regulations, evaluate work performance, and ensure licensing competency. Conduct in‑person nursing assessments and quality assurance visits, including home safety assessments, client routines, preferences, and needs, converting them into active services with a tailored Care Plan. Maintain high client satisfaction, respond to and resolve incidents, and ensure continuous service delivery. Conduct on‑site reviews, audits, and compile reports on findings and corrective actions. Design and manage continuous quality improvement initiatives. Implement plans for compliance with new regulations or laws that may affect operations. Create and maintain monthly reports on missing paperwork for caregivers and clients; track terminations per QI. Enforce compliance with policies and procedures by investigating possible violations. Conduct regular reviews of policies, training, communications, and compliance program components for continuous improvement. Maintain certification and licensing documents, emergency/incident, complaint, and compliance binders, including community‑specific binders. Manage employee incident reporting and workers' compensation claims. Prepare documentation for regulatory visits and be present for regulatory visits as needed. Establish best practices for compliance and communicate compliance standards across the region. Analyze data and feedback to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities for enhancing service delivery. Identify inefficiencies or gaps in service delivery processes and collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement solutions. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Skills, Education, and Certifications Current Registered Nurse license in the state of employment; license must be maintained in good standing. BSN preferred. 5 years experience in health care, elder care, social work, or related industry preferred. 3 years experience managing compliance or a similar role. Extensive knowledge of industry regulations and governing laws. Tech‑savvy, comfortable with heavy email, spreadsheets, Microsoft Office, and Google products. Preferred Skills, Education, and Certifications Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills. Documenting and reporting skills. Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry up to 15‑20 pounds. Ability to sit, stand, and walk for a prolonged period during the workday. Business travel as required – approximately 10‑20% of the time.
