Director of Nursing (DON) Responsibilities As DON, you will be responsible for the overall administrative and clinical operations of our nursing services, including: Clinical Oversight: Ensure all patient care adheres to the highest standards, agency policies, and Federal/State regulations (Medicare/Title 22). Staff Management: Lead the recruitment, training, scheduling, orientation, and performance evaluation of all clinical staff. Regulatory Compliance: Oversee all aspects of Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) activities, utilization review, and maintain compliance documentation for surveys and audits. Field Work/Home Visit Requirement: Conduct supervisory or skilled patient home visits as necessary to audit staff performance, address complex patient care issues, or cover clinical needs in emergency/staffing gap situations. Business Strategy: Collaborate with the Administrator on strategic planning, budgeting, resource allocation, and business development initiatives. Liaison Role: Serve as the primary clinical liaison with physicians, referral sources, and the Professional Advisory Committee. Required Qualifications Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) License in California. Minimum of 2 years of experience in Home Health Nursing , with significant portion in a supervisory or management role (e.g., Clinical Supervisor, Nurse Manager). Proven experience with Medicare Home Health regulations and compliance audits/surveys. Exceptional leadership, financial acumen, and conflict resolution skills.
