Overview Presbyterian Cancer Care is seeking a dedicated Breast Medical Oncologist to join our compassionate, patient-centered team in Rio Rancho. This role focuses exclusively on breast oncology, offers a 4-day work week, and provides access to clinical trials through the New Mexico Cancer Care Alliance. Practice Highlights Focus: Care exclusively for breast oncology patients in a supportive, multidisciplinary setting. Team-Based Support: Work alongside nurse navigators, social workers, dieticians, and chemo-certified infusion nurses. Work/Life Balance: 4-day work week, Breast Tumor Board every Wednesday morning. Manageable Call: Inpatient call just 7 weeks per year. Research Opportunities: Engage in clinical trials and research initiatives. Accredited Excellence: Program accredited by NAPBC. Streamlined Systems: Systemwide Epic EMR. Responsibilities In alignment with NCCN guidelines, order and oversee diagnostic testing; prescribe treatment and supportive medications. Collaborate with care team including palliative care, psychology, social work, PT, OT, speech, dietician, nursing, and research to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Oversee care provided by Advanced Practice Clinicians as required by provider licensure. Participate in process improvement initiatives to drive standard of care across the continuum. Participate in tumor board(s) (required). Qualifications M.D. or D.O. with fellowship in Medical Oncology and Hematology. BC/BE in Medical Oncology and Hematology. NM Medical License. 3–5 years minimum experience preferred. Demonstrates CARES behaviors and practice of collaborative care.
