This role offers the opportunity to work with highly skilled surgeons who use state‑of‑the‑art technology and innovative procedures to treat patients diagnosed with diseases of the chest, heart, lungs, esophagus, or major blood vessels and veins. Position Details Full time, 40 hours per week Surgical assistants in cardiovascular and thoracic cases Outpatient ambulatory visits and hospital rounding Assess new consults in the clinic and hospital admissions Assist with vein and radial harvesting; CABG and valve surgery Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package, CME, malpractice insurance, and 401(k) Requirements Needed to Apply Active Texas license Physician Assistant board certification Master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies from an approved PA program Minimum 1 year working as a Physician Assistant Surgical experience plus 1–2 years of hospital and ambulatory experience preferred Experience with robotic surgery (a plus) Other Qualifications Education: Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant studies Experience: Minimum 1 year as a PA; surgical experience preferred; robotic surgery experience a plus Licenses and Certifications: Active Texas license, PA board certification, must maintain board certification Skills: Active listening and learning, critical thinking, reading comprehension, effective communication, time management, judgment and decision making Supervision Individual Contributor.
