Primary Responsibilities Respond to daytime consultations from the hospital. Take hospital call from 8:00AM – 5:00PM, Monday- Friday. Have rotating weekend hospital call- 8:00am - noon on Saturday and Sunday. Triage for the practice, supporting the providers with patient callbacks, prescription refills, and other "admin" functions as needed. Partner with Medical Director related to all clinical protocols. Conduct a complete ENT exam. Perform minor procedures (laryngoscopy, nasal endoscopy, drain abscesses, epistaxis control). Coordinate and execute patient treatment plans. Work cooperatively with the ENT clinic staff. Teach and train staff in the office. Provide care to children as well as adults. Oversee the following: Allergy clinic. Diagnosis and treatment of patients with allergy conditions. Administration of allergy tests, skin tests, and pulmonary function tests. Education of patients on allergy management and prevention. Order appropriate diagnostic testing. Required Qualifications Physician Assistant (P.A.) with valid license OR Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) with valid license Certificate for a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), to see all ages (preferred) ENT experienced (2 years minimum) Endoscopy experience Be energetic, compassionate and self-motivated Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent verbal and written communication, and interpersonal skills Proficiency with PC-based computer skills Supervisory Responsibility This position requires supervision of the allergy clinic. Certificates, Licences, Registrations Current license as a Physician Assistant or an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in Maryland.
