CHIEF, DIVISION OF GENERAL INTERNAL MEDICINE DEPARTMENT OF INTERNAL MEDICINE The University of Nebraska Medical Center is conducting a search for the next Chief of General Internal Medicine. This is an outstanding opportunity to build on the division's existing foundation of world‑class clinical care and education programs developed over a 50‑year history. The division has 57 physicians and researchers who teach 500 medical students, conduct research, and practice medicine at nine locations in the Omaha metropolitan area: Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Durham Outpatient Clinic, Nebraska Medicine Olson Center for Women’s Health, Midtown, Bellevue Medical Center, Brentwood, Nebraska Medicine Eagle Run, Fontenelle, Nebraska Medicine Elkhorn, and Nebraska Medicine Village Pointe. The Chief reports to the Chair of the Department of Internal Medicine and will lead the division with responsibility for clinical service, teaching, research, academic planning, development, and resource management. Qualifications: MD degree (or equivalent) and Board Certification in Internal Medicine. Current rank of Associate Professor or Professor. Experience in leadership and management in an academic setting. Outstanding clinical and teaching skills. Ability to foster research. Commitment to service, excellence, and a belonging and community engagement environment.
