The role is an emergency & critical care position with a leadership opportunity available for an experienced veterinarian. A Medical Director stipend will also be offered. Hospital Manager, Belinda, is a Veterinary Technician Specialist in Emergency & Critical Care. Passionate emergency medicine team that takes pride in providing quality medical care. Client communication and education. Performing diagnostic procedures and surgery. Maintaining accurate medical records. Pharmacy duties such as prescribing medications and following controlled substance protocols. Promoting teamwork and staff efficiency. Working with the Hospital Manager on weekly priorities and expectations. Evaluating and monitoring protocols for daily hospital operations from intake to discharge. Monitoring cases and attending daily rounds when possible to uphold highest standards. Participating in practice management updates and training at all levels. Performing additional duties as assigned by Management. Qualifications (Required) Veterinarian degree (DVM or VMD) from an accredited college or university. Current State Veterinary License. DEA registration must be obtained and maintained. 1+ year of experience in a veterinary emergency practice. Strong diagnostic and clinical skills. Excellent surgical and dental skills. Ability to work well in a team‑oriented environment. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. Commitment to compassionate and high‑quality veterinary care. Effective communication with all members of the medical and hospital staff. Client communication skills, including eliciting information and establishing rapport with pet owners. Confidence and reassurance when dealing with pets experiencing severe stress, illness, or pain. Ability to perform some climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Ability to perform moderately physically demanding work periodically. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Preferred Skills (Nice to Have) Demonstrate clinical knowledge and skill in examining animals and performing necessary examinations. Problem‑solving skills to address challenges in managing a high‑quality veterinary hospital. Effective communication of diagnostic and therapeutic options to clients and internal staff. Professionalism and constructive feedback within a high‑quality team. Business acumen to understand management and finances of the practice. Knowledge of ethical principles guiding patient decisions. Commitment to continuing education and facilitating learning for others.
