Veterinary Supervisor / Clinical Coordinator - Internal Medicine Red Bank Veterinary Hospital (RBVH) proudly opened its state‑of‑the‑art facility in May 2024 – an expansive, 100,000+ square‑foot space nearly twice the size of our original Tinton Falls location. Equipped with advanced diagnostics such as MRI, CT, fluoroscopy, and a PET scanner, the hospital features 52 exam rooms, 12 surgical suites, a dedicated emergency department, and expanded training spaces. We are actively seeking a dynamic Clinical Coordinator / Supervisor to lead and empower our nursing staff (8+ direct reports) in our Internal Medicine Department. This pivotal leader will inspire growth, uphold clinical standards, and cultivate a collaborative, compassionate environment focused on delivering exceptional patient care. This role is structured with 25% focus on administrative responsibilities and 75% focus on technical duties within the department the leader supports. Position Overview The Clinical Coordinator oversees the nursing staff and manages daily operations to ensure high standards of care and staff performance. Responsibilities include supervisory duties such as recruitment, performance management, and strategic planning to enhance department efficiency and care quality. Location Red Bank, NJ Compensation Full Time Credentialed Technicians: $33–$42 /hr based on experience Non‑Credentialed Technicians: $27–$36 /hr based on experience Schedule TBD based on department needs Weekend/holiday expectations required The final compensation offer will be based on the qualified candidate’s experience and ability to make an impact coming into the role. Key Responsibilities Clinical Leadership: Serve as a hands‑on leader by actively participating in patient care and guiding clinical teams to uphold high standards. Operational Oversight: Manage day‑to‑day department functions, monitor workflow, and ensure all roles are staffed and aligned with patient care priorities. Team Development: Provide direct supervision and mentorship to nursing leads and staff. Conduct performance evaluations and support professional growth. Scheduling & Staffing: Create and adjust staff schedules to ensure proper shift coverage and adapt to changing department needs. Recruitment & Onboarding: Lead hiring efforts, interview candidates, and build a cohesive, high‑performing clinical team. Payroll & Time‑Off Management: Oversee accurate payroll processing and manage PTO to maintain adequate staffing. Training & Education: Collaborate with the Clinical Trainer to implement targeted training that enhances skills and care quality. Compensation Support: Partner with leadership on performance‑based compensation decisions, ensuring fairness and alignment with budget. Resource Coordination: Ensure availability and proper use of medical supplies and equipment to support seamless clinical operations.
