This leader is accountable for ensuring safe, compliant, and high‑quality care delivery while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, professionalism, and compassion. The DON provides leadership and support to nursing personnel, oversees regulatory compliance and quality initiatives, partners closely with HR and operations leadership, and ensures the organization maintains strong clinical and operational standards across all service lines. This role requires a clinically strong and operationally minded nursing leader who can effectively balance strategic oversight with hands‑on leadership support. Key Responsibilities Clinical Leadership & Staff Management Oversee all nursing and clinical personnel across group home and APD services Provide leadership, coaching, mentorship, and accountability to nursing teams Conduct performance evaluations, competency assessments, and developmental coaching Partner with HR on recruitment, onboarding, licensure verification, background checks, and staffing initiatives Approve staff assignments and support scheduling oversight, including weekends and holidays Promote staff retention, engagement, professional development, and clinical excellence Resident Care Oversight Ensure safe, effective, compassionate, and resident‑centered care delivery across all programs Oversee case management, care coordination, and adherence to individualized Plans of Care Investigate and resolve clinical concerns, resident complaints, and service‑related issues Support continuity of care and operational efficiency across multiple homes and service lines Ensure confidentiality and protection of resident health information in accordance with HIPAA standards Policy Development & Regulatory Compliance Develop, implement, and maintain nursing policies and procedures aligned with regulatory standards and best practices Ensure compliance with CDC, OSHA, APD, HIPAA, infection control, and healthcare regulations Maintain survey readiness and oversee preparation for audits, inspections, and compliance reviews Monitor staff training requirements and ensure completion of mandatory certifications and education Partner with leadership to implement corrective action plans and process improvements when needed Quality Assurance & Performance Improvement Lead quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives across the organization Monitor nursing documentation, audits, and compliance metrics to ensure accuracy and regulatory adherence Conduct annual compliance reviews and support corrective action implementation Oversee employee performance improvement plans (PIPs) and clinical remediation efforts as necessary Identify opportunities to improve clinical workflows, resident outcomes, staffing efficiency, and operational effectiveness Training & Staff Development Ensure nursing staff remain current on clinical best practices, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies Provide ongoing education, mentorship, and leadership development opportunities Support orientation and onboarding processes to ensure clinical competency and consistency across teams Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, professionalism, and compassionate care Operational & On‑Call Leadership Serve as a clinical and operational resource for urgent staffing and resident care concerns Participate in on‑call leadership responsibilities to support staffing continuity and resident safety Collaborate closely with executive leadership, operations, HR, and interdisciplinary teams to support organizational goals Qualifications Education & Licensure Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Florida required Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred Experience Minimum of one (1) year of supervisory nursing experience required Leadership experience in home health, LTAC, skilled nursing, developmental disabilities, group homes, assisted living, or similar healthcare environments strongly preferred Experience overseeing nursing operations, staffing, compliance, and quality initiatives preferred Experience with ventilator and tracheostomy care strongly preferred Skills & Competencies Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills Ability to lead teams across multiple service lines and clinical environments Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, compliance standards, infection control, and quality assurance practices Experience with performance management, staff development, and operational problem‑solving Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced and evolving healthcare environment while maintaining a resident‑centered approach Compensation & Benefits Compensation Competitive compensation based on experience, qualifications, and leadership background Benefits Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match Paid time off (PTO) and holiday pay Continuing education and training reimbursement Leadership development and advancement opportunities Help Shape the Future of Care at Agape’s Way If you are a passionate nursing leader committed to clinical excellence, operational leadership, team development, and compassionate care, we encourage you to apply and become part of the Agape’s Way leadership team. #J-18808-Ljbffr
