Export Control Manager - SHD CompositesTHE ROLE We are seeking an experienced Export Control Manager to lead and coordinate export control compliance across our global manufacturing operations. This role will support production, product development, and customer engagement activities involving advanced composite materials, many of which have dual-use applications subject to both ITAR and EAR regulations.This position will work closely with a UK/EU counterpart to ensure alignment across regions and develop a cohesive, global export control program. With operations in multiple locations, including the U.S. and UK, this role is critical to ensuring the organization has the internal capability to manage export control requirements consistently and effectively across all sites.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESDevelop and execute export & import compliance strategies supporting manufacturing operations, product development, and global distribution of advanced materials (hardware, technical data, and related services)Serve as subject-matter expert for classification (USML/ECCN), jurisdiction determinations, and licensing requirements, particularly for dual-use materialsCoordinate closely with UK/EU export control counterpart to ensure consistency and alignment across global operationsPartner cross-functionally with operations, engineering, supply chain, commercial, and legal teams to proactively identify and manage export control risksLead contract and customer review processes to ensure compliance with export regulations and licensing requirementsEstablish and maintain technology control plans (TCPs), internal compliance procedures, and audit mechanisms across all facilitiesOversee export licensing, exemption/exception usage, and regulatory filings as requiredLead investigations, disclosures, and corrective actions related to any potential non-complianceDeliver training and guidance to employees across multiple sites, ensuring awareness of export control obligations in a manufacturing environmentMonitor changes in U.S., UK, and EU export control regulations and implement necessary updates to policies and proceduresOversee supply chain compliance requirements KEY REQUIREMENTSBachelor's degree or equivalent experience; technical background preferred5-8+ years of export control experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in aerospace, defense, or advanced materialsStrong knowledge of ITAR, EAR, and global trade compliance frameworks, including dual-use regulationsExperience managing export compliance across multiple regions (U.S. and UK/EU preferred)Proven ability to collaborate across international teams and functionsExperience with export licensing, classification, and regulatory interpretationStrong communication and training capabilitiesExperience with compliance audits, investigations, and corrective actionsU.S. Citizenship (as required for regulatory compliance) Compensation details: 00 Yearly SalaryPI13ed2f5e2aaa-2906
