Locum Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon (Tacoma, WA)A Level II Trauma center seeking a Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon to provide locum coverage for approximately two weeks per month over a 6 9 month assignment. Coverage is needed due to a provider resignation.Position Highlights:Hospital and outpatient clinic setting24/7 ER orthopedic trauma coverage with dedicated PA supportThree outpatient clinic mornings per week (Monday Friday schedule, exact days TBD)Manage a full spectrum of orthopedic trauma cases excluding complex pelvic injuriesPatient volume varies from 0 7 admissions per dayEPIC EMR systemFull hospital and clinic support staff availableRequirements:Board Certified Orthopedic SurgeonFellowship training in Orthopedic Trauma preferred; trauma experience without fellowship may be considered if credentialing requirements are metMinimum of five years of Level II trauma experienceWashington medical license preferred or IMLC with Letter of QualificationBLS and DEA required (candidates in process may be considered)Clean malpractice history preferredAdditional Details:Initial coverage dates begin in May with ongoing monthly coverage needsCredentialing timeframe is approximately daysTravel accommodations may be arranged based on facility guidelines
