Location 4005 High Resort Blvd SE Rio Rancho, NM Summary Presbyterian Medical Group seeks a Board Eligible / Board Certified Internal Medicine Physician to join our established outpatient primary care practice in RioRancho, NewMexico. The provider will lead and collaborate with a team that includes nurses, medical assistants, case and care managers, behavioral health clinicians, pharmacist clinicians, and clerical staff to deliver comprehensive care. Regular communication and teamwork are essential to the role. Practice Highlights 16‑20 patients per day Practice call in rotation with the group 34 patient contact hours with 6 administrative hours per week Guaranteed salary for 3 years with production & quality incentives Support from a Patient‑Centered Medical Home team consisting of Clinical Pharmacists, Behavioral Health Clinicians, Care Managers, Nurse Practitioners & Physician Assistants along with Registered Nurses & Medical Assistants EMR: EPIC Responsibilities Provide comprehensive medical care to patients with acute and chronic illnesses. Make professional medical judgments in patient care. Order, conduct, and interpret appropriate diagnostic x‑ray and laboratory tests. Prescribe treatments, medications, and non‑pharmacologic therapies. Document all patient encounters and communications appropriately. Manage the provider‑patient relationship and resolve patient complaints. Educate individuals, families, and groups about health management. Serve as an interdisciplinary consultant and patient advocate. Work autonomously and collaboratively with other health‑care providers and staff as needed. Participate in recruitment and replacement of other providers. Engage in system‑wide health management initiatives. Contribute to practice financial, clinical, and service quality performance, including budgeting, capital planning, and personnel issues. Provide clinical input into development and review of appropriate clinical protocols and processes. Enhance professional growth through participation in educational programs, literature review, in‑services, and workshops. Perform other functions as required. Attend and participate in all scheduled meetings, including PCC, provider, and site meetings. Adjust assessment techniques according to patient condition, culture, age, and stage of development. Maintain coding and encounter data standards for completeness, accuracy, timeliness, and reimbursement level, including legible documentation. Qualifications MD/DO, Board Eligible or Certified in Internal Medicine. State of NewMexico Medical License. DEA & NM Controlled Substance Registration.
