We are seeking a Gastroenterology Physician to lead an independent practice, supported by MedCBO's administrative infrastructure. The physician will own and operate the practice while MedCBO handles non‑clinical operations. Overview Physicians will own and operate their own practice entity, while MedCBO provides non‑clinical business and operational support services, including revenue cycle management, HR, technology, and compliance. This is an independent practice opportunity, not an employed physician role. Physician Responsibilities Provide gastroenterology care within the physician’s scope of practice. Develop professional relationships within the medical community. Coordinate payer credentialing with MedCBO as required. Determine clinical services offered. Manage clinical quality and patient experience. Administrative Support Provided by MedCBO Practice formation coordination Billing and collections management Payer contract negotiation Financial infrastructure and reporting Operational workflows and staffing systems Technology platform and implementation Opportunity Description We work with physicians seeking to: Start a new private practice Transition from employment to ownership Convert an existing practice to a supported model Relocate and establish a practice in a new market Requirements MD or DO with unrestricted license in good standing in the intended state of practice Board Certified or Board Eligible in an appropriate specialty Eligible for hospital and/or facility privileges where applicable Ability to obtain professional liability coverage at standard market rates No current limitations, exclusions, or disciplinary restrictions that would prevent independent practice Interest in the independent practice model Preferred Desire for practice ownership Community‑based care interest Leadership or program development interest Location Multiple U.S. markets available (urban, suburban, and rural). Relocation and market selection are physician‑directed, subject to licensure. Compensation Compensation is not a salary and is generated by the physician‑owned practice.
