Duties & Responsibilities: Mission or Goal of Unit: The mission of the Department ofNeurology, the Division of Vascular and Critical Care Neurology isto provide state of the art comprehensive patient centered care foradults with acute neurological disorders, perform translational andclinical research to further understanding of disease mechanismsand develop new treatments, and train the next generation ofneurologists and clinical neuroscientists. Chief Purpose of this position: This position is an OpenRank (rank will be commensurate with experience and qualifications)full-time faculty position in the Division of Vascular and CriticalCare Neurology. The faculty member will provide patient care,engage in medical student and neurology resident and felloweducation, and participate in clinical research. Clinical Primary clinical responsibilities include care of patients in bothneurocritical care inpatient and outpatient settings. Teaching The faculty member will teach medical students and housestaff. Theywill be expected to participate in a series of formal conferencesfor the housestaff and students. They will attend weekly GrandRounds and neurological lectures upon occasion as requested. Research The Division of Vascular and Critical Care Neurology is engaged inclinical and translation research projects. The faculty member willbe expected to participate in and, when appropriate, lead, clinicalresearch and clinical trials.
