Humboldt Park Health is seeking an experienced Human Resources professional to serve as Vice President of Human Resources. The role requires a generalist skilled in all HR areas, including staffing, compensation, benefits, policy development, compliance, training and performance management. The Vice President will advise senior leadership, lead the HR department and drive continuous improvement initiatives across all hospital operations. Responsibilities Advise Administration and departmental managers on human‑resources matters, interpreting federal and state labor laws and internal policies. Develop and recommend HR policies, procedures and programs, ensuring clear communication, training and compliance with best practices. Design and manage competitive benefit and compensation plans, maintaining budget compliance and regulatory adherence. Lead recruitment and onboarding strategies to hire and retain staff, employing best practices in branding, sourcing, screening and onboarding. Monitor HR metrics (turnover, vacancy, time to fill, regulatory compliance) and report on performance. Conduct training for managerial and hourly staff on employment topics (HIPAA, infection control, conflict resolution, coaching, negotiation, meeting management). Collaborate with the Management Executive Team and Leadership teams on process design, research and improvement initiatives. Manage the HR department staff and financial resources to achieve high levels of performance in financial, customer service, quality and continuous improvement. Qualifications 7–10 years of HR leadership experience. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong presentation and facilitation skills. Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a team of at least 7 HR professionals. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field (Master's preferred). Proven knowledge of federal and state labor law, wage/hour statutes and tax regulations. Experience in a hospital or acute‑care environment. Other Qualifications Demonstrated behaviors of teamwork, leadership, integrity and commitment to quality improvement. Education Bachelor's in Human Resource Administration (required).
