Position Overview Ohio University, Department of Hearing, Speech & Language Sciences, seeks applications for a non‑tenure track clinical faculty position at the level of Assistant Clinical Professor. This is a full‑time 9‑month academic year appointment starting August 16, 2026. The FTE distribution is .30 teaching, .50‑.60 clinical supervision, .00‑.10 scholarship and creative activity, and .10 service to the unit. Workload distribution may vary depending on the interests and expertise of the hire. Job duties include teaching graduate and undergraduate courses, clinical supervision of students in the M.A. SLP program, and service to the department and university. Engagement in research is negotiable. The candidate should have experience and expertise in treatment of speech and language disorders across the lifespan, with a strong background in pediatric SLP. Other courses at the graduate and undergraduate level will vary depending on the candidate’s expertise. Candidate Qualifications Commitment to working effectively with students, faculty and staff. Organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills to relate to faculty, staff, students and community members. Active learning and use of technology in the learning process. Candidates must hold the Certificate of Clinical Competence in speech‑language pathology (CCC‑SLP) awarded by the American Speech‑Language‑Hearing Association. Candidates must hold or be eligible for licensure by the Ohio Speech and Hearing Professionals Board.
